Carrie Carlisle

LMSW

Hello my name is Carrie. I am a compassionate and motivated person with a sincere desire to help individuals and families within our community. I have worked or volunteered in several different mental health care settings. I was a case manager at Trivium Life Services working with substance use disorder and mental health cooccurring clients aiding them in accessing community resources. For the last year I was part of the social work team at West Valley’s Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and facilitated groups with their Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). I have also volunteered in numerous and diverse places within our community; working with seniors at Good Samaritan Society for almost 2 years, mentoring high school students with Project Graduation through the West Ada School district, and setting up/serving/and cleaning up dinners at St. Vincent De Pal dining hall.

I am well-versed in multiple treatment modalities such as DBT, CBT, MI, and Solution Focused Therapy. I meet clients where they are at utilizing a strengths-based perspective, person-in-environment theory, and trauma-informed care ideology. I believe each client is unique in their lived experiences that have shaped how they see the world, so it is not a “one size fits all” approach when aiding my clients to reach their goals. I believe self-care is important and I implement many of the coping strategies in my personal life and relationships that I suggest to my clients. I have experience working with a multitude of different diagnoses; BPD, depression, trauma (acute, chronic, and complex), schizophrenia, Bipolar, and SUD.

When I am not working, I find joy in spending quality time with my family and friends. My husband and I have two boys and six fur babies. We love getting out in nature and playing family boardgames. During the warmer months we enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, tending to our 1000sq ft garden, fruit trees, ducks and chickens. I love to run, read, crochet, paint, cook and bake sweet treats.
